I can't say there's much to report this blog. And that's okay, some months are going to be far more productive than others. I've been traveling doing my Sales Job at Poster Invasion, but in my spare time here's what I've been up to.
PILOT PRODUCTION
The first week I spent all my free time making sure that all my editors had all the footage and audio that was recorded. I researched a little for some stock footage options. I updated my script after the changes that were made during filming. And then I just sat back and let me editors get to work. We're meeting up everyone once in awhile, and I believe we're still planning on having the finished short by October! Expect all sorts of behind the scenes photos and videos until then!
Otherwise I'm starting to look at ways to share the short when it's done. I've reached out to a producer to talk about the script, (this was on Stage 32,) and now I'm talking to people on LinkedIn and Instagram about productions and film festivals. I can honestly say I don't know what's going to happen to our little short after October. But I'm trying all sorts of different angles.
Also, now that the short is wrapping up, I'm realizing I need to pull together all of my costs and budget to prepare for taxes in January. After talking to another small business owner, I've got an idea on how to display all the expenses.
Podcast!
So, this is for real. I've had a few more meetings with the people that represent Seneca Women and iHeartMedia, it looks like this is for real, I'm making a podcast! So I've started taking some steps to prepare for the podcast's launch.
I'm browsing through some options for music, and I've been reaching out to artists for a logo. I think I've found an artist I like too. I know what episodes that I want to do for the season, so I'm starting to reach out to individuals who are willing to talk about their dating life experience. And I'll start interviewing when I get back.
I don't know what's going to happen from the podcast, but it seemed like a cool opportunity.
How's the Audiobook Coming?
It's coming along, I'm editing when I can while I'm on the road. I am very determined to finish the audiobook by the end of the year.
As you may remember, I put the rest of voice acting to the side at the moment, but I'm gonna jump back in when I get back to Los Angeles after my trip. I miss it so much.
